A St. Clair County resident faces federal charges related to cyberstalking, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona.

Michael Ray Mullins, 44, of Trussville, Alabama, was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of cyberstalking and one count of interstate transmission of a threat to kidnap or injure another person. The incidents reportedly took place between September and October 2024 in St. Clair County.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI in collaboration with the Margaret Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel S. McBrayer is handling the prosecution.

Authorities emphasized that an indictment consists only of charges and that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
