A Mobile woman has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Pharah Molette, 28, previously convicted of second-degree robbery in the Circuit Court of Mobile County, was found to have armed herself and fired two shots down a residential street on September 19, 2024. The incident was recorded on video.
After her prison term, Molette will be subject to three years of supervised release with the United States Probation Office.
U.S. Attorney Sean P. Costello of the Southern District of Alabama made the announcement.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Mobile Police Department conducted the investigation.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Tandice Blackwood prosecuted the case for the United States.
According to officials, this case falls under Operation Take Back America, an initiative that coordinates resources from agencies such as the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN). The program aims to combat illegal immigration, disrupt cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and address violent crime in communities across the country.
