Alabama has become the first state in the United States to distribute absentee ballots for the upcoming general election on November 5.
For voters opting to vote by absentee ballot, applications sent via mail must reach the Absentee Election Manager's office in their respective county no later than seven days before the election. If voters choose to submit their applications in person, they must be received at least five days prior to election day.
Ballots returned through mail need to arrive at the Absentee Election Manager's office by noon on election day. In-person submissions of ballots must be completed by 5 p.m. on the day preceding the election.
