U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has criticized the Biden administration and the FBI following reports that his phone was secretly monitored in 2023. According to Tuberville, this surveillance was conducted as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into former President Donald Trump related to January 6.

“I was just shocked to learn during an FBI briefing that Jack Smith narc’d on myself and seven other Senators during his made-up January 6th probe into President Trump,” said Senator Tuberville. “When I ran for Senate, I expected that countries like China, North Korea, or Russia would go after me. But I never expected it would be my own country under Joe Biden tapping my phone. Make no mistake: Joe Biden was surveilling the phones of U.S. Senators to try to punish his opponent, President Donald Trump. It’s an absolute disgrace—and someone needs to go to jail.”

Tuberville also discussed the issue on Fox Business’s Kudlow and Bannon’s War Room on Monday afternoon.

Senator Tuberville serves Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of several committees, including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, HELP, and Aging.
