Chief Michael Mcbrayer | Alabama Law Enforcement Agency

Please join us in congratulating ALEA's Highway Patrol Chief Michael Mcbrayer on his recent retirement!

Chief Mcbrayer retired after 26 years of service with the Agency.  Mcbrayer was a member of the last class to graduate through the Cadet Program, a two-week-long academy for ages 18-21. Later, Mcbrayer graduated from the Academy to become an Alabama State Trooper in 1997 and was first assigned to Highway Patrol in Morgan County. Over the years, he progressed in his career and was promoted to Corporal in the Highway Patrol Division, Sergeant in the Driver License Division, Lieutenant, and then to Captain in Highway Patrol and served as Troop F Commander, which includes Huntsville, Decatur and Quad Cities (including Sheffield and Hamilton Posts). Ultimately, he was appointed as the Chief of ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.

Chief Mcbrayer, thank you for your dedication and years of service to the State of Alabama!
