The Jasper Career Center to Host Job Fair for ABM Industries in the Walker County/Birmingham Area
The Jasper Career Center is hosting a job fair for ABM Industries. The company is looking for Utility Worker positions and Nightshift Janitor positions for the Miller Steam plant in Quinton.
The job fair is July 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Duties include:
Cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
Dusting furniture, pictures, ventilation, lights and blinds, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning windows, restrooms, and other facilities.
Day shift is 6:30am to 3:00pm
Night shift is 3:00pm to 11:30pm
No minimum education required, and no driver’s license required. Minimum age requirement is 19 due to insurance. Pay is $15.00 per hour on dayshift and $13.00 per hour for night shift cleaners.
Benefits include: medical, dental, basic life insurance, AD&D insurance, both short and long term disability insurance, business travel, and 401k.
