The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is set to close a section of State Route 14 at the I-20/59 Exit 40 interchange in Eutaw, Greene County. The closure is scheduled for overnight work from Tuesday, September 23, starting at 8 p.m., until Wednesday, September 24, at 5 a.m., weather permitting. This closure is part of an effort to install an Intelligent Transportation System pole and camera.

From 8 p.m. to midnight, there will be a single-lane closure on SR-14 eastbound with flaggers managing traffic flow. After midnight and until 5 a.m., all lanes on the bridge between the interstate ramps will be closed. During this time, SR-14 eastbound traffic will be rerouted onto I-20/59 to Exit 32, while westbound traffic will detour to Exit 45.

For those seeking real-time updates on traffic conditions during this period, ALDOT recommends using the ALGOTraffic app or visiting their website at ALGOTraffic.com.
