The August results of the NFIB Small Business Economic Trends Survey indicate ongoing challenges for small businesses in Alabama. Rosemary Elebash, NFIB State Director, commented on the findings: “Small business owners say business conditions are looking up, but many of them are still having a hard time finding job applicants with the skills and experience they’re looking for.”

According to the latest report, the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index increased by 0.5 points in August, reaching 100.8. This figure is nearly three points higher than the 52-year average of 98.
