City of Montgomery issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
Montgomery's Warming Center will open again Dec. 24-26 at the Montgomery Therapeutic Recreation Center, 604 Augusta Avenue. EMA welcomes individuals or organizations interested in volunteering, assisting with meals, donating clean and warm clothing or providing hygiene items.

Masks, cots and warm blankets will be provided for anyone in need of shelter from freezing temperatures. No photo identification is required. EMA reminds residents to bring any prescribed medications needed, and pets are welcome as long as they are kept in a carrier.
