The University of Alabama: Juneteenth Freedom Day

Untitled

UA is honored to recognize Juneteenth. Throughout this month, there have been many campus programs and events, as well as community celebrations. Coming up next, on Tuesday, June 21, the Intercultural Diversity Center and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will present a virtual lecture presentation by Charles Woods III about the history of Juneteenth, its impact and ways to celebrate and support Juneteenth.

In observance of the holiday, there will be no classes and all University offices will be closed tomorrow, June 20, and will resume normal hours on June 21. Read more information about the history of Juneteenth: https://bit.ly/3O94hhi
