NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash announced that 105 Alabama legislators have achieved a 100% NFIB Voting Record for the years 2023-24. This group comprises 31 members of the state Senate and 74 members of the House.

“Our voting record is meant to show constituents whether their legislators support Alabama’s job creators, and this year’s voting record shows the vast majority of them do that,” Elebash stated. “Of the 140 lawmakers who serve in Montgomery, 105 of them—a 75 percent majority—support the small business position 100 percent of the time.”

The voting record for this period includes eight significant votes on issues such as tax relief, retail theft, and tort reform. More detailed results and explanations of these issues are available online.

Elebash emphasized that the NFIB Voting Record does not account for every aspect lawmakers consider when casting their votes, nor does it provide a comprehensive profile of each legislator. Additionally, it excludes committee actions beneficial to small businesses.
