Alabama is observing National Principals Month in October, a time set aside to recognize the work of school principals. The month highlights the role that principals play in leading schools and supporting both students and teachers.
Governor Kay Ivey released a statement marking the occasion. "I am proud to join in celebrating National Principals Month," she said. "Principals are the backbone of our schools, providing leadership, guidance and support for our students and teachers. Their commitment to excellence is critical to ensuring that every child in Alabama receives a quality education."
The recognition comes as educators across the state face ongoing challenges, including adapting to changing educational standards and addressing student needs.
National Principals Month is observed annually throughout the United States to honor school leaders for their contributions to education.
