The Alabama Department of Transportation's (ALDOT) Grove Hill team and its contractor partners have been recognized with the 2025 Award of Excellence at the Clear Water Alabama Conference in Pell City. The award acknowledges their work on the US-43 Linden Bypass project, emphasizing their efforts in erosion, sediment, and stormwater management during construction.

The Linden Bypass project was highlighted as an example of successful collaboration between public and private entities to achieve infrastructure improvements while maintaining environmental integrity. John Graham, Dereck Callaway, Jake Bailey, and Daniel Ganus were key figures from the ALDOT team contributing to this achievement.

The conference is organized by the Erosion and Sediment Control Steering Committee and brings together experts from various sectors to discuss best practices in erosion and stormwater management. "ALDOT congratulates the Grove Hill team for setting a high standard of excellence," a statement from ALDOT reads, acknowledging that road development can align with environmental conservation.
