The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is set to begin repairs on the bridge girders of Wares Ferry Road over Interstate 85 in Montgomery County. The work is scheduled to start on Monday, June 30, and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, July 2, weather permitting.

The repair activities will occur at milepost 13 on southbound I-85. Crews will be working daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., which will result in closures of the southbound right lane and shoulder. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays during this period.

ALDOT has urged drivers to plan their travel accordingly and exercise caution while navigating through work zones. For those seeking real-time traffic updates, ALDOT recommends visiting ALGO Traffic.
