NOTICE
Effective March 29, 2022, Legislative Act Number 2022-182 amends a portion of Section 40-2-11, Code of Alabama 1975, as amended by Act 2021 – 146, 2021 Regular Session, to allow the issuance of writs of garnishment by certified or standard mail.
Please be aware during the transition to issue garnishments by certified or standard mail that you may still be served a garnishment by the County Sheriff’s office.
