Attorney General Steve Marshall has backed Texas' filed motion to the U.S Supreme Court requesting to sue four states over election fraud.
Marshall shared his statement in a tweet on his official handle.
“It is my expectation that the court will act quickly in deciding whether to grant The State of Texas’s request. That decision will instruct me as to how the State of Alabama will proceed in our fight to ensure election integrity,” read the statement. "The unconstitutional actions and fraudulent votes in other states not only affect the citizens of those states, they affect the citizens of all states of the entire United States. Every unlawful vote counted, or lawful vote counted, debases and dilutes citizens’ free exercise of the franchise.”
The Texas lawsuit against Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin has been labelled by some as a publicity stunt which will not yield any result. It challenges the unconstitutional violation of election statutes in the mentioned states.
