The City of Chickasaw, in collaboration with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), is planning to build roundabouts at the Interstate 65 (Exit 10) northbound and southbound ramps on West Lee Street. The project aims to enhance safety by addressing sight issues at the ramp terminals and reducing conflict points that have led to accidents in the interchange area.

To gather public feedback, ALDOT will host both online and in-person public involvement meetings. The in-person meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chickasaw City Hall, located at 224 North Craft Highway, Chickasaw, AL 36611. The meeting's objective is to inform the public about the proposed design features and collect input from those who use the area.

Meeting facilities are accessible for individuals using wheelchairs. Those requiring special assistance due to disabilities should contact the ALDOT Southwest Region office at (251) 471-2000 at least five days before the meeting. Comments regarding this project must be submitted by Wednesday, November 19, 2025. For more information or to participate online, visit ALDOT’s project page.
