U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has joined Senator Jim Risch (R-ID) in introducing the Say No to Indoctrination Act, a bill aimed at making permanent a Trump-era executive order that blocks federal funding for what they describe as "radical gender ideology" in K-12 schools.

Senator Tuberville stated, “Our children go to school to be educated, not indoctrinated. I’ve always said that education is the key to unlocking opportunity. But under Joe Biden, Democrats turned our children’s classrooms into woke propaganda HQ. Schools should focus on teaching kids to read, write, and do math. I’m proud to join my colleagues in introducing the Say No to Indoctrination Act to get woke politics out of the classroom.”

Senator Risch added, “Schools should prepare our children for the future, not promote radical gender ideology. The Say No to Indoctrination Act puts an end to woke education practices in K-12 schools and makes President Trump’s common-sense policy permanent.”

The legislation is also supported by Senators Ted Budd (R-NC), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Roger Marshall (R-KS), and Eric Schmitt (R-MO). The bill has received endorsements from Concerned Women for America and the American Principles Project.

Senator Tuberville serves Alabama in the U.S. Senate and holds positions on several committees including Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans’ Affairs, HELP, and Aging.
