NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash announced that 105 Alabama legislators have achieved 100% voting records for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for the period 2023-24. This group includes 31 state Senate members and 74 House members.

“Our voting record is meant to show constituents whether their legislators support Alabama’s job creators, and this year’s voting record shows the vast majority of them do that,” Elebash stated. “Of the 140 lawmakers who serve in Montgomery, 105 of them—a 75 percent majority—support the small business position 100 percent of the time.”

The 2023-24 Voting Record encompasses eight key votes on issues such as tax relief, retail theft, and tort reform. For detailed results and explanations of the issues, further information is available.

Elebash emphasized that the NFIB Voting Record does not capture every aspect lawmakers consider during votes and does not fully profile a legislator. Additionally, it excludes committee actions that have been beneficial to small businesses.
