State of Alabama, Department of Labor issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
The Alabama Department of Labor released the official count for initial claims filed during the week of October 25 – October 31, 2020.
7,060 initial claims were filed either online or by telephone during this period. 3,553 of those claims are COVID-19 related.
Industry sectors with the greatest number of claims are: Industry Not Available (3,128), Manufacturing (854), Remediation Services (609), Retail Trade (538), Accommodation and Food Services (452), and Health Care and Social Assistance (368).
Jefferson County had the largest number of claims with 1,090.
